It was my first train journey EVER. Mummy packed my little rucksack and I got to carry this myself. In it, I had: Milk, Snuggle Ted, my jigsaw blocks, my card game from Dobba (Dobba is my Granny in Solihull, West Midlands), my colouring book and my special Badger pencil case with my big wax crayons inside.
The man on the train said “Bonjour” to me and gave me a special ticket (Mummy has kept this for me for my “Little Book of Treasure”). I gave him my best ever “Bonjour”. Mummy even said that I sounded French. (I’m not so sure if that is a good thing as Daddy said a few bad words about French People when he was watching the rugby today.)
The train went very fast and we saw lots of pretty mountains. Lots of people on the train spoke to me, although I couldn’t understand exactly what they were saying. Mummy said that some of them were speaking German. I don’t know what that is, but it sounded weird.
Mummy let me listen to her IPOD and I listened to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” on continuous repeat. It is my favourite song ever.
When we got to Luzern yesterday evening, it was really exciting as Auntie Kath and Emily were waiting for us when we got off the train. There were lots of people and it was a little bit scary, but when I saw them I felt all better.
We got to the apartment and Mummy and Auntie Kath drank gin and tonic, while Emily and I ran around, screaming. It was fun.
Mummy and Auntie Kath said that we could make it a proper “Sleep Over” and I was allowed to share Emily’s room. I felt very grown-up. Emily and I had a really long bath together and splashed around. Auntie Kath then dried my hair with the hairdryer. I felt very sleepy, but very special too.
When we got to Emily’s bedroom, I was allowed to sleep in Emily’s bed and she had a mattress on the floor. Snuggle Ted had got into bed whilst I was in the bath and there was even a big drink of milk waiting for me.
It was one of my best days ever. (Until I fell out of bed just before midnight….luckily, Mummy was there really quickly and helped me back in).
Today we had to come home again. I was sad to leave Auntie Kath and Emily and cried a bit when I said goodbye. But then Mummy told me that I would soon see Daddy and Noah again and I felt all better.
The train was fun coming home, but I was very tired. It was too noisy to sleep and I couldn’t get comfortable. There was a man that kept trying to talk to me. Mummy said that he was only being friendly (but that also he was a Nutter).
Daddy and Noah came to pick us up from Aigle station and when I saw them I felt so happy. I wanted to cry, but it felt different from normal. Daddy was so pleased to see me. Mummy told him that I had been a really good girl. As a special treat, Daddy took us to McDonalds and I ate chicken wings. When we came home, Mummy was particularly happy because Daddy had kept the house tidy. (Mummy is convinced she has Oh-See-Dee, even though she doesn’t look that poorly to me.)
I tried to count all the good things that have happened to me in the last two days, but there were too many. (Mummy said that if I practised counting, it would help me to remember not to miss out 3, 4 and 5, which I keep doing.) I miss Emily already, but Mummy says that she can come and stay when we get to our new home in Villeneuve.
I am going to count the sleeps before then….
